True lover of Sindh
Sain Zafar Kazmi was not only a beautiful artist but he was also a true
lover of Sindh. I had a few but brief meetings with him, which
I remember with heart.
Several
years ago when Master Soofi, a Punjabi
poet visited Hyderabad, I saw him and
listened him in that meeting. It was held in Circuit House. He
spoke on the importance of mother tongue. He spoke well.
His
services for the promotion of culture will long be remembered,
specially his services for making and shaping Sindh museum.
This
is high time to collect and collate his works and should be published.
Vali
Ram Valabh,
Hyderabad.

A big man of Sindh
Sain Zafar Kazmi's untimely departure is a great national loss. I met
him first in 1989 and always found him delivering valuable knowledge
on Sindh.
His
inventions in the shape of Sindh museum, Bhit
Shah museum, Larr museum, Thar museum, Amri museum & several
other institutions shall be remembered for the generations to
come. He imparted me lot of lessons. He learnt
me how to read the book. While writing this note I feel inferior
to write over such a big man of Sindh.
Naseem Jalbani,
Hyderabad.

A big name
Had
he been from other nation he would have produced a big name. But
unfortunately he became a Sindh.
Sardar Jam Tamachi,
Nawabshah.

A great artist
I
used to complete a seal daily. I had still completed three seals
and started work on dancing girl of Moen-jo-Daro,
when my father sternly for bade me to do so saying it being a
profession of infidels. I told the whole story to Zafar.
He was shocked to learn and also advised to not get my father
annoyed.
Since
that period I remained jobless but no body bothered to ask whether
I am earning something or not.
Since
that time I remained associated with Zafar
Kazmi. He used to preserve every article
pertaining to Sindh.
Today's
world of art spreading all over Sindh is the out come of assiduous
services of Zafar Kazmi. He was a great artist
and equally a great man.
Ali
Baba,
Kotri.
***
Influential person of Sindh
Zafar Kazmi can rightly
be ranked as one of the most influential personalities of Sindh.
If in the field of research, Dr. N.A Baloch
had prominence, in the field of knowledge Allama
Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi was the leader and in the poetry Shaikh Ayaz had a name than we can easily point out that in the field
of art there were hardly two men Ain
Kaf Shaikh and Zafar Kazmi. In Zafar Kazmi's work we can always find an awakening Sindh. His monumental
work in Sindh museum shall be remembered for ever.
Bedal Masroor,
Karachi.
