| Suicide Bombings in Pakistan
Four successive suicide attacks in the capital city of Islamabad
& else where in the country were the, part of latest wave
of assault by the ‘fundos’ beleived to be anti-Musharraf
government. Three of the series of these attacks were occured
in the latter part of the current month. It is beleived that the
latest spate of violence that gripped the entire country, had
a linkage with air strikes on Hamzola, by the mid January, in
which 10 people were killed.
Taliban commander, based in South Waziristan, Baitullah Mehsud,
had sworn vengence on Pakistan.
The more dangerous source of terrorism stems from the kind of
religious militancy that has been sweeping Pakistan since the
launch of US-led war in Afghanistan in the aftermath of 9/11.
In its wake the brand of militancy that beleives in shedding
innocent people’s blood without a qualm of conscience.
President General Pervaiz Mushaffar-led government has contributed
tremendously towards breaking the netwrok of the banned Jehadi
outfits. However, they still exist & operate whenever they
get the opportunity.
With the recent four sporadic incidents of ghastly attacks the
government can’t be blamed. If we go and check the list
of similar acts of violence in Pakistan hardly three years back,
we would easily come to know the difference.
No doubt, occurance of such acts of violence on Pakistani soil
is expensive for our national integrity & solidarity.
Government without wasting any moment should come into action
& teach a lesson to the tribal war lords who have created
a sorts of parallel government in Waziristan agency and have breached
September 5, 2006 historic ceasfire. Our intelligence agencies
may also be tasked a fresh to check of reported inflow of 2000
suicide bombers from Afghanistan or check the movement of those
who have already crossed into our land.
Buck up! Gen. Musharraf!.
